Funding Opportunity: Emergency Solutions Grant FY2016

On Tuesday, February 16, the West Virginia Office of Economic Opportunity announced the opening of the FY2016 Emergency Solutions Grant application process. A copy of the email announcement has been forwarded to the Northern Panhandle Continuum of Care provider contact list – if you did not receive this email or would like to be added to the list, please contact Jordan Harris by telephone at 304-232-6105 or by email to jharris@wheelinghomeless.org. The 2016 Emergency Solutions Grant Application packet details the program requirements, timelines for application, scoring process, technical assistance process and the required information to apply for the these funds. The excel file is a workbook containing the budget forms that must be completed and submitted as part of the application.

Prospective applicants must submit a letter stating their intent to apply no later than February 23, 2016. Letters of intent should include the applicant’s agency name; list of project sponsor(s), if applicable; counties to be served; and services to be provided. In addition, please provide a point of contact person with their email and phone number. No applications will be considered from applicants that do not submit a letter of intent. There will be 2 Technical Assistance Conference Calls on March 8th at 10:00 am and March 10th at 2:00 pm. Call information can be found on page 33 of the application. Please have prepared any questions about the program or application process.

The application deadline is March 31, 2016. Completed applications must be submitted electronically by 4:00 pm on March 31, 2016 to Whitney Burwell at Whitney.M.Burwell@wv.gov. Please submit a color PDF of the proposal and all required attachments. Upon receipt, WVOEO will respond to notify the applicant of receipt. If your application is submitted and does not receive a response, please resend or call Whitney Burwell at 304-558-8860. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
